An epicurious lunch of wild food and foraging with Colleen O'Bryant of Wild Roots Apothecary. During the class, we will learn how to forage and craft our own seasonal food preparations... all while enjoying the beauty of Rappahannock County. We will gather and then process wild edibles and create seasonal recipes such as: Edible Greens & Flowers • Conifer Tea • Sumac Lemonade • Real Root Beer • Nettle Pesto • Wild Mustard • Dandelion Fritters • Wild Bitters -Elderflower Pancakes and so much more. Join Colleen for a 3 hour-long adventure of harvesting and preparing wild foods while relishing the bounty of nature and discovering creative and traditional uses for wild roots, trees & greens. Please note...This is a hands on event we will be ethically wild crafting plants and enjoying the bounty with exploratory lunch afterwards. Please bring gloves and wear long pants! Please note that this is a THIS IS A RECURRING EVENT :) Join us again on APRIL 28th and May 29th (same time, same place.) Event subject to weather.
