POP Talk: From 5 to 25 – How to Grow Your Volunteer Program

Erin Clark, Fauquier Historical Society

Tuesday, February 25, 8:30-10:00 am

Behind every successful nonprofit is a strong volunteer program! Whether you want to take your current program to the next level, or start a new program from scratch, Erin Clark (Fauquier History Museum) has valuable insight. Erin will tell the story, step-by-step, of how she quintupled her volunteer team from five to 25 volunteers in just one year!

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Spot your organization’s needs for volunteer opportunities.
  • Share volunteer needs and spread the word.
  • Implement a vetting process.
  • Keep volunteers coming back.

After Erin’s presentation, she and Lynn Lauritzen (PATH Volunteer Hub) will work with attendees to brainstorm types of volunteer experiences that will work for each organization.

The POP Talk is limited to 8 attendees.

Intended Audience: Volunteer coordinators, Executive Directors

Program attendance is complimentary for board, staff and volunteers of organizations operating within the PATH Foundation service area (northern Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock counties). For participants from other organizations, a $25 charge applies.
