Rapp. Memorial Dedication Ceremony (Blue Ridge Heritage Project)

Date: May 20, 2017

Time: 10:00am - 11:00am

Where: Businesses of Rappahannock
Thornton River Orchard & Market, 11587 Lee Hwy Sperryville, Virginia, VA 22740

Please join us as we dedicate this memorial, built to honor our ancestors who were displaced from their land in Rappahannock County, VA when Shenandoah National Park was created. This event will be held rain or shine (pray for shine!) and it's a "stand or bring your own chair" event. We anticipate this event will last no more than an hour.

The memorial is located on the property of the Thornton River Orchard and Market in western Sperryville. If you're heading from points East, it's located on the north side of Route 211 just before you enter the Park, directly across from the Hearthstone school.

PARKING: handicap parking only in the Thornton River Orchard parking lot. All others - please park across the street at Hearthstone School or at the Beech Spring shops in the open field. We will have police on hand to help with traffic and pedestrian flow.

Please help spread the word about this important and historic event! Feel free to share this event on your Facebook page and please share the information with everyone you know.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on May 20!
