The 12th Annual Artists of Rappahannock Studio & Gallery Tour will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, 10am-5pm, in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains! The Tour begins at the Old School House located at 567 Mt. Salem Ave in Washington, VA 22747 where you will be able to view representative artwork from all the studios and galleries and pick up a map with driving directions to all the locations. Click There is a $10 per person admission at the door that covers both days. More than 50 artists participate in the Art Tour, and many are nationally and internationally recognized with awards to their credit and/or part of public and private collections worldwide. Artists present original works at galleries and studios scattered throughout scenic Rappahannock. The artists’ creative works include painting, sculpture, pottery, ceramic, glass, forged ironwork, jewelry, textiles and photography. The Tour takes you through the beautiful countryside of Rappahannock County. Please arrive early so that you have time to visit all the studios and galleries of your choice—the School House Gallery opens at 10AM both days. Although most visitors come for one day, touring the galleries and studios could easily take two days. Make your visit a weekend getaway and stay at one of our celebrated B&Bs, guest houses and inns.
