Fermentation expert Kellie Jordan of getBUBBLY will be stopping by Green Comfort to teach this special class on fermented beverages! Learn the science and basics of Gut Health, and how to balance and improve your microbiome by including fermented foods and beverages into your diet. Kellie will demonstrate how to make tasty fermented beverages including kombucha, beet kavass, kefir, and switchel. You will have the opportunity to taste all of these probiotic-backed beverages during class and take home recipes so you can make these health-promoting ferments at home. About your instructor Kellie Jordan: I am a farmers market junkie & fermentista of magical proportions. As a dedicated mother of three empowered to craft the nutrition and well-being of my family, I was inspired by Hippocrates' famous statement, "Let Food be thy Medicine." This became my kitchen invocation and guiding principle as I experimented with delicious cultured condiments and beverages, and eventually, fully healing meal plans. getBUBBLY, my ferments company, emerged from a desire to share my passion for locally sourced foods and to support farmers and suppliers committed to ethical and sustainable farming practices.
