If you manage volunteers or plan events for your organization, please join us for this training series. Created by the Points of Light Foundation, these 6 interactive workshops support organizations as they build a sustainable volunteer program. Participants will form a  comprehensive understanding of the major components of a nonprofit volunteer management program. Nonprofits are encouraged to attend each or all of the dates. Those who attend all sessions will be presented a certificate of completion.

In the fourth workshop of the series attendees will:

  • Describe the importance of orienting and training volunteers and staff
  • Identify roles for planning and delivering orientation and training
  • Design effective volunteer orientation
  • Assess training needs and design training to equip volunteers and staff

Target Audience: Those with beginner or intermediate experience coordinating volunteers.

Program attendance is complimentary for board, staff and volunteers of organizations operating within the PATH Foundation service area (northern Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock counties). For participants from other organizations, a $25 charge applies.
